Building dreams is what we’re all about. For investors, professional athletes, and consumers as well, Dreams represents the aspirations that lead us to success.

Our own success has been built on hard work, careful planning, and a vision for the robust enterprise that has come to dominate the burgeoning sports-licensed product vertical.

Founded in 1980 by its current Chairman, Sam Battistone, Dreams began with franchise memorabilia retail stores under the Field of Dreams brand. The right to use this name was negotiated in 1989 with Universal Studios, to leverage the good will of its hugely popular movie, “Field of Dreams,” which captured the nostalgia fans everywhere felt for the game of baseball.

In 1997, Dreams made its first strategic acquisition in the form of Mounted Memories, an established and successful manufacturer and wholesaler of authentic autographed sports memorabilia, display cases, and custom photo framing. Subsequent sports-related strategic acquisitions helped Dreams expand its scope to include multiple facets of the sport-licensed vertical, including:

  • 2001 – The Greene Organization, building proprietary relationships with premier professional athletes

  • 2003 – FansEdge, providing an entry point into the retail e-commerce channel

  • 2004 – Pro Sports Memorabilia, expanding our e-commerce reach to include autographed memorabilia

  • 2007 – Unique Images, leveraging high-end framing capabilities to appeal to the upper-income consumer

Because the components were selected and assembled with such care, the resulting corporation, Dreams Inc., has become great than the sum of its part. We look forward to exceeding expectation and achieving the loftiest of dreams together.
